Even though fruit contains acids, its alkaline mineral content results in an alkalizing effect when metabolized in the body.

In addition to an unbalanced diet, fasting or a fat-loss diet can also shift the acid-base balance in the body towards the acidic range, since so-called ketone acids are produced during fat breakdown, which contribute to over-acidification and can impair metabolism.

Furthermore, baking soda can even be harmful in the long run, as it increases the body's sodium intake, which can promote high blood pressure, and also stimulates stomach acid production with prolonged use, which can lead to heartburn, stomach problems, and impaired bowel function.

Citrate
The minerals contained in GN alkaline powder are present in the form of citrates. In the body, the citrates are cleaved from the minerals and can act as acid buffers by combining with H+ ions, which are responsible for an acidic environment, to form citric acid, which is then metabolized by the body to carbon dioxide as part of the citric acid cycle.

potassium
Acids stored in body cells can only be removed from the corresponding body tissues with the help of an exchange system that transports potassium into the cells and acids out of the cells. If there is insufficient potassium in the body, acids cannot be adequately removed from the body cells, thus severely impairing cellular metabolism.

calcium
Calcium is also involved in buffer systems that prevent the body from becoming overly acidic. Adequate calcium intake ensures that the body does not have to draw on calcium stored in the bones to maintain these buffer systems. Additional calcium is also needed to reverse any bone destabilization that may have occurred after a prolonged period of chronic acidosis.
