L-tyrosine is not an essential amino acid , which is why our bodies are also able to produce it from the essential amino acid phenylalanine – albeit only in very small amounts. Tyrosine is also found naturally in bananas, avocados, and in extremely protein-rich foods such as meat, dairy products, and eggs.
The body needs iodine to produce thyroxine. The hormones themselves contain 65% iodine. In geographical regions with lower iodine intake, thyroid disorders occur more frequently as a direct consequence. Products containing tyrosine can also be used in cases of hypothyroidism (or underactive thyroid); furthermore, symptoms can be significantly reduced if the product also contains iodine.

Ingredients
L-Tyrosine (73%), capsule shell [gelatin, glazing agent (shellac), colour (iron oxides and hydroxides), acidity regulator (ammonium hydroxide), acidity regulator (potassium hydroxide)], anti-caking agent (magnesium salts of fatty acids, silicon dioxide), potassium iodide (0.01%).
Produced in a facility that processes milk, eggs, gluten, soy, shellfish, sulfur dioxide and nuts.
